Connection - Compassion - Change

Individual & Couples Therapy
in the South Bay

Helping you build healthy, secure relationships - with yourself and others.

I'm happy you're here.

You may be considering therapy because something in your life or relationships feels heavy, confusing, or out of balance.

I’m deeply passionate about how people connect: both with themselves and with others. I work with individuals during pivotal stages of life, particularly adolescence and young adulthood. These are times when your sense of self, relationships, and life direction are still taking shape, and it’s common to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. I also enjoy working with couples who want to strengthen communication, feel more emotionally connected, and better understand the patterns from their past that influence their relationship.

Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, questions around purpose, relationship stress, or major life transitions. My goal is to offer a supportive space where you can feel genuinely seen and begin creating meaningful and lasting change.

My approach is holistic and person-centered. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to be yourself, while also being gently direct when helpful. I work collaboratively with clients to build insight, strengthen the mind–body connection, and move toward more fulfilling lives and relationships.

A Little About Me.

Hi, I’m Emily. Originally from Philadelphia, but a proud South Bay local for years. When I’m not in session, I enjoy hot yoga, walking along the Strand, and playing beach volleyball with family and friends.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and began my clinical work in a school setting, supporting children and teens navigating emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent 8 years in the corporate world. That experience gave me meaningful insight into the pressures many young adults face, including major life transitions, career stress, and the challenges of balancing relationships and personal expectations.

My own experience in therapy during adolescence and early adulthood also played an important role in shaping my path, giving me firsthand understanding of how powerful it can be to feel truly seen during formative stages of life.

Both my personal and professional experiences continue to inform the way I support clients.

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#157043) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#20181), supervised by Dr. Kelly Mothner, Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY25739).

I’d love to connect if you’re curious about whether we might be a good fit!

I work with adolescents and young adults navigating life’s challenges, including personal trauma, anxiety, overthinking, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship stress. My clients often seek a safe, supportive space to process emotions, build coping skills, and gain clarity. I partner with them to foster self-understanding, resilience, and create meaningful change.

I work with couples seeking to strengthen their connection, improve communication, and navigate challenges together, including conflict, life transitions, and relational patterns rooted in past experiences. I take a supportive, nonjudgmental stance where both partners can be heard, understood more deeply, and build skills to foster trust and closeness.
