Teen Therapy in Hermosa Beach
Maybe everyone thinks you’re doing fine. You’re going to school, seeing your friends, keeping up with everything you’re supposed to do. But, underneath it all, things might feel harder than they look.
You might overthink what people think of you, feel overwhelmed by school or friendships, or put a lot of pressure on yourself to get things right. Maybe your emotions feel really big sometimes, or you have a hard time explaining what’s going on when someone asks.
Being a teenager comes with a lot of change. You’re figuring out who you are, where you fit, what matters to you, and how to handle expectations from school, family, friends, and yourself. Sometimes it helps to have somewhere that feels like your space.
Therapy can give you a place to talk without feeling judged, get a better understanding of what you’re feeling, and learn ways to handle the things that feel overwhelming, while still getting to be yourself.

You feel stuck or unmotivated.
You don't have to wait until things feel unmanageable to talk about it.
My Approach to
Teen Therapy
I know therapy can feel awkward at first, especially if coming to therapy wasn’t entirely your idea.
I have a particular soft spot for working with teens because I remember how hard those years can be. My own teen years weren’t always easy, and those experiences have shaped the way I show up with teens today: with empathy, curiosity, and an understanding that what you’re going through matters, even when other people may not fully understand it.
I want therapy to feel like a space where you can show up as yourself. We might talk about school, friendships, family, relationships, anxiety, confidence, or whatever has been taking up space in your head. I’m not here to force you to talk about something before you’re ready or tell you how you “should” feel.
My style is warm, conversational, and collaborative. I’ll listen to what you’re experiencing while also helping you notice patterns, understand yourself better, and gently challenging you when it may be helpful.

Teen Therapy in
Hermosa Beach & the South Bay
I offer in-person individual therapy for teens in Hermosa Beach and throughout the South Bay, including Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, and surrounding communities.
Virtual therapy is also available for teens located throughout California.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, school stress, friendships, family conflict, self-esteem, or simply trying to understand yourself better, therapy can give you a space to feel heard, supported, and more confident navigating what you’re going through.
It can be hard to know when your teen needs additional support or how to help them when they don't always talk to you about what's going on. Therapy can give teens a private space to work through what they're experiencing, while helping parents feel less alone in navigating it alongside them.
